Exfiltration Controls
"Exfiltration" describes what happens after information gets decrypted, and disseminated to those who actually need it. While today’s transmission encryption mechanisms are extremely strong, transmission usually only takes a fraction of a second – or more importantly, a nearly insignificant fraction of that data's useful lifetime. Contractual guarantees provide, in many contexts, an auditable way to hold a party accountable to promises that data will be protected even after decryption. RedPhone Security products can ensure that exfiltration guarantees are legally enforceable.

Exfiltration controls can be compared to a specification of a pipe’s outlet device. In this context, exfiltration controls can provide assurance that when the transmission exits the pipe it will flow through an appropriate device, whether the goal is to be drip-free or to create a uniform sprinkling pattern.
